Abstract:
This map depicts landforms of Shenandoah National Park classified from digital elevation data. The landform mapping process follows methods outlined by The Nature Conservancy for creation of ecological map units (ELU). Components of the landform mapping process include slope shape, aspect, and moisture maps. This map is a result of the combination of these interim layers into classes of landform.
Purpose:
This map was developed to be used in an assessment of vegetation distribution in Shenandoah National Park.
