Leah Brown - Graduate Student

Leah BrownLeah is currently working towards her master's degree in Fisheries Conservation at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and the S. O. Conte Anadromous Fish Research Center under the direction of Alex Haro. Her project focuses on the use of three-dimensional acoustic telemetry to characterize the behavior of silver-phase eels as they encounter hydroelectric facilities during their downstream migration. Leah has prior experience working as a fisheries biologist with the U.S. Geological Survey at the Columbia River Research Laboratory in Cook, WA. She earned her undergraduate degree in 1997 at the University of New Hampshire.
