Leetown Science Center Technical Information Services
In 1951 a small, specialized "fisheries" library was established containing books and journals donated by Dr. S.F. Snieszko, Director, Eastern Fish Disease Laboratory, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Through several reorganizations, continued development and expansion of the collection and services, this library evolved to become Technical Information Services (TIS), a component of the U.S. Geological Survey, Leetown Science Center, Kearneysville, WV .
